About this game

Badger Rush is a side-scrolling action game in the Flappy WUD style. Run through five worlds, jump gaps, stomp enemies and smash bosses while your weapons fire on their own.

Every level-up you pick one of three upgrades: new weapons, more power, more jumps, more gold. No two runs build the same badger. When a run ends you keep your gold, buy permanent upgrades and go further next time.

It is free in your browser on desktop and mobile. Play right away as a guest, or connect a wallet to save your progress, play your own Badgers and post to the leaderboard.

Two ways to play

ClassicYour badger runs on its own. You just time the jumps. Easy to pick up, hard to put down.

Free RunFull control. Move left and right, line up your stomps and dodge bosses your way.

Each mode has its own leaderboard, so you can chase the top spot in both.

How it works

Pick a mode and goChoose Classic or Free Run in the lobby and hit Play.
Stomp and collectLand on enemies to stomp them. Your weapons fire on their own. Grab the gems they drop.
Level upEvery level you pick one of three upgrades. Stack weapons and stats into a monster build.
Beat the bossesEvery fifth stage ends with a boss. Beat it to unlock the next world.

Wallet perks

Anyone can play as a guest. Connect a wallet and you get saved gold and permanent upgrades, your own Badger NFTs as playable characters, the $BDGR holder ladder and a spot on the leaderboard.

Badgers come from Badger's Grid Miner. Pull furs from mystery boxes, mint them and they show up in Badger Rush. You can also pick one up on the market.

Worlds and bosses

Each world has five stages. Stage five ends in a boss arena: the walls close in and the boss attacks with charges, shockwaves, volleys, falling hazards and beams. Watch for the red markers and the warning flash.

1 Honey Meadow: snakes, beetles, crows, toads, thorn spitters and boars. Boss: Cobra King.

2 Sunscorch Canyon: scorpions, armadillos, vultures, jackrabbits, sand worms and rock crabs. Boss: Dune Scorpion.

3 Frostbite Peaks: snow wolves, penguins, ice bats, seals, snow spitters and yetis. Boss: Yeti Chief.

4 Magma Depths: lava lizards, cinder beetles, magma bats, fire slimes, ember turrets and rock golems. Boss: Magma Golem.

5 Bear Market City: jeet rats, rug bots, drones, spring bots, laser turrets and bear bots. Boss: Mecha Bear.

After world five the game loops into Rush+ with tougher enemies and bigger rewards. There is no end.

Weapons

Honey Shot: your starting weapon. Fires at the nearest enemy.

Claw Swipe: hits everything close in front of you. Level 5 swipes both ways.

Honey Orbit: honey jars circle you and smack anything they touch.

Bee Swarm: bees that hunt enemies down.

Chain Lightning: strikes an enemy and jumps to the next.

Fire Aura: a ring of fire that burns anything close.

Moon Rockets: homing rockets that explode.

Diamond Shards: a burst of shards in every direction.

Every weapon has five levels, and level five unlocks something special.

Upgrades and the shop

Level-up upgrades last for one run: Power, Haste, Multishot, Thick Fur, Magnet, Diamond Paws, Air Jump, Swift Paws, Armor and Gold Rush.

The shop sells permanent upgrades with the gold you earn: Max HP, Power, Haste, Armor, Magnet, Greed, Rerolls, Head Start and Second Wind. Shop upgrades need a connected wallet so they are saved to you.

Badgers and the holder ladder

Classic is free for everyone. Every Badger NFT in your connected wallet is playable, and each star adds 4% damage and 2% HP.

Holding $BDGR climbs the holder ladder at 10K, 50K, 250K, 1M and 5M. Each rung gives you one free upgrade at the start of every run and 10% more gold. The ladder is tuned live and may change.

FAQ

Can I play without a wallet? Yes. Guests play as Classic. You just will not keep gold, buy upgrades, use your Badgers or post scores.

Does it cost anything? No. Badger Rush is free. Signing in for the leaderboard is a free message signature and never moves funds.

Where is my progress saved? Your gold and upgrades are saved in this browser, tied to your wallet.

Can I play on my phone? Yes. Turn it sideways and play full screen.

Badger Rush is in beta. If something breaks, feels unfair or you have an idea, tell us. Every report goes straight to the team.

Beta notes

Balance is still being tuned. Enemy health, boss attacks and upgrade numbers may change.
Leaderboards may be reset before the full launch.
Older phones may run slower. Close other tabs for the smoothest play.
